We rely on the help of volunteers to ensure our MS Plus fundraising events are a success. While event participants do things like run, ride or play sports, they depend on volunteers for moral support, assistance throughout the day, event coordination and more.
It’s a fantastic way to give back and put your time, energy and skills toward a worthy cause – while having fun at the same time. Whether you’re an experienced volunteer or it’s your first time, you have the power to make our fundraising events possible.

Meet Sharron
Sharron has been volunteering for 9 years, and has been involved in the MS Colour Dash, MS Walk + Fun Run, MS 24 Hour Mega Swim, and has volunteered with MS at the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.
Sharron’s mother was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis when she was only 26 years old and unfortunately passed away a few years ago. Sharron continues to support MS through volunteering to honour her mother's memory and support those who are now living with MS.

Meet the Breens
Mark first supported MS in the '90s, enjoying the MS Gong Ride as a participant. After a friend of his daughter was diagnosed with MS, Mark was inspired to get involved again. In 2010 he took part in the ride and also put his body on the line for fundraising by waxing his body for donations!
In 2011, Mark started volunteering his time to support MS with the Gong Ride, and then joining the MS Walk + Fun Run.
Mark has been a very loyal Sector Manager in both of these events, and has recruited the rest of his family as well as his friends to join him in Sector B at the MS Gong Ride.

Since then, Christine has volunteered every year in the MS Walk + Fun Run and MS Gong Ride, and has seen first hand how much these events have grown!
