Volunteer with us

Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects over 25,600 people in Australia and is the leading cause of disability in young adults. As a volunteer, you can help us deliver essential support and services, and fundraise for MS research.

The importance of MS Plus volunteers

We couldn’t do the essential work we do without the help of volunteers – which is currently over 4,000 people. By volunteering with us, your time and skills can transform the lives of people affected by MS and other neurological conditions.

Whether you’re living with MS, know someone who does, or would like to improve the lives of thousands of Australians, you have the power to make a difference.

Volunteer at a fundraising event

We rely on the help of volunteers to ensure our fundraising events are a success. While event participants do things like run, ride or play sports, they depend on volunteers for moral support, assistance throughout the day, event coordination and more.

It’s a fantastic way to give back and put your time, energy and skills toward a worthy cause – while having fun at the same time.

Support our MS Plus Shops

MS Plus Shops are op shops (i.e., opportunity shops or charity shops) with a difference. All profits from MS Plus Shops go directly into helping people affected by MS and other neurological conditions. Each shop is filled with high-quality treasures donated by the public.

Join the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS)

Companionship is crucial at any age. But sadly, many older people are socially or culturally isolated and are in need of company and friendship. If you’re committed to building a meaningful relationship with a person in aged care services, consider becoming a volunteer visitor.
