MS Go for Gold Scholarships are one-off grants offered through the MS Foundation to people living with multiple sclerosis in Australia. These scholarships support you in following your personal goals, passions or dreams, whether creative, educational or wellbeing-focused.
If you’re living with MS or another neurological condition and need financial support to achieve something meaningful, an MS Go for Gold Scholarship can help make it happen.
What can I use an MS Go for Gold Scholarship for?
There are 25 MS scholarships available each year across Australia, valued at up to $2,000 each. Categories include:
- Personal expression
- Education
- Living your best life
No dream is too big or too small. Past recipients have used their MS Foundation scholarships for a wide range of goals, from gym memberships to helping maintain their physical wellbeing, to travel experiences with family, to launching creative projects or small businesses.

How are the MS Go for Gold Scholarships funded?
The MS Go for Gold Scholarships are proudly funded by the MS Foundation through the generous fundraisers and supporters of the MS Mega Challenge events.opens in new tab
The MS Mega Challenge began as the MS 24 Hour Mega Swim in 2001, led by Paralympian Carol Cooke AM. Today it includes 16 swims across the ACT, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania and has grown to include squash, racquetball and badminton – with more sports coming soon.
As well as funding the MS Go for Gold Scholarships, MS Mega Challenge events also fund our Financial Assistance Programs, helping people with MS live their best lives.
