Respite accommodation travel support now available

Whether you have booked your stay at Lidcombe Home, NSW, or Watsonia Home, VIC, connecting with care or just to have a well-deserved break, MS Plus can help you with your travel requirements including providing funding and related bookings. MS Plus has done this to ensure improved access to our short-term (respite) accommodation, whether it’s at the hotel-style Lidcombe Home or our newly renovated units at Watsonia Home.

Whether you are coming to Lidcombe Home in NSW or Watsonia Home in Victoria to connect with care or just having a well-deserved break, we can help you with your travel costs.

MS Plus provides funding for travel of up to $2,000 to assist individuals who have booked into stay (minimum of 3 nights) at the hotel-style Lidcombe Home or our newly renovated units at Watsonia Home.

Eligibility criteria

To qualify:

  1. You must be approved and booked for a short-term stay (minimum of 3 days) at MS Plus Lidcombe Supported Accommodation or MS Plus Watsonia Home Supported Accommodation.
  2. The travel must relate directly to your travel to the accommodation.
  3. The reimbursement must be pre-approved by MS Plus.

Reimbursement details

  • Up to $2,000
  • Covers transport-related costs such as flights, train/bus fares, car travel (mileage at standard ATO rates), taxi/rideshare expenses, and accommodation enroute (if approved in advance).
